Form I-612, Application for Waiver of the Foreign Residence Requirement

Form I-612 can only be filed by individuals who have previously held a J-1 or J-2 visa. One condition of the J visa is to stay outside the U.S. for at least two years after the J visa has expired. However, there are exceptions to this requirement which can be applied for by using Form I-612. There are certain requirements that must be fulfilled in order for Form I-612 to be approved. Form I-612 (Application for Waiver of the Foreign Residence Requirement) may also be known as USCIS Form I-612, I 612, Form I612 or immigration form I-612.
