How to Find the Status of Your Application
Individuals that have submitted an application to the USCIS can find out the status of their own application as long as a Receipt Number has been issued. Case Status is an application tracking system which only applies to applications submitted to the USCIS. Passport applicants cannot use the USCIS Case Status system, as the Department of State is in charge of issuing passports. Download the Case Status Information Sheet for additional information.

Schedule an Appointment at the Nearest USCIS Office Using InfoPass
If you have specific questions about your case, you may go in person to your local USCIS office and ask a USCIS officer. It is recommended, and in some cases mandatory, to schedule an appointment prior to going to the USCIS office. INFOpass is an online appointment system that can be used to schedule an appointment at your nearest USCIS office.
